In 1969, in Austin, Texas, way before Austin was what it is today, a group of local musicians formed a music label and named it Armadillo Records. After more than half a century since it was founded, Armadillo Records has been brought back to life by a new group of music enthusiasts in Austin that want to see this perfect brand expand past its original intention, a small label in a small town, to become something as big and attractive as Austin itself. Today, Armadillo Records pioneers, produces, and champions music initiatives, embodying Austin’s magnetic fusion of music and entrepreneurship with local and national relationships to bring Armadillo Records to the people.
